Hola Andrea, Pablo, y Erika.

Welcome to my Portfolio!

For the last year I’ve been asking the smartest people around me: what is a for-profit venture who’s fiscal health relies on the improvement of gender equity? My heart led me to the answer: feminist porn.

I’m now gravitationally drawn to changing culture (my life mission) through the porn industry: broadening gender perceptions/norms through a new sexual revolution.

I want to work with you to grow your business, and change the world.

Sincerely,

Abigail

SUMMARY

I’m internally motivated to solve problems. This has manifested itself as a knack for connecting things: people to products/services that will improve their lives. Often before the people even know that they need them.

I’m tangentially motivated to fix the worlds problems, which I see spurring from toxic culture and patriarchy. Since 2016, I’ve worked only on projects that connect me, in some way, to that goal.

I’m empathetically inclined to see how people like to be communicated to, like a conversational chameleon. This helps me digitally communicate to masses, and individually target influencers.

My mind is in tune to systematically run SWOT analysis on the projects I’m involved in. I routinely find new creative opportunities for my teams, and notice emerging threats we might leverage as benefits. From strategizing for companies with multiple corresponding goals, I seamlessly prioritize complex concepts and coordinate efforts to maximize efficiency.

My aptitude to naturally win others over, and “sell” to them has given me countless cross-country friends in media and earned spots in their publications.

My professional playground on the international event scene trained my brain for calm productivity in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

I’ve gotten loads of women elected. I’ve influenced new laws getting enacted. And I’ve started cultural waves. My level has been community/state, and I’m ready to go bigger.

SOCIAL MEDIA

EARNED MEDIA

Throughout my career I’ve worked on large and small scale projects and gotten substantial coverage for each project while involved. I’ve lived throughout the USA in Los Angeles CA, Portland OR, Philadelphia PA, and Minneapolis MN, and networked with cross-industry professionals to build lasting relationships. My projects have been featured in Snapchat Live, BBC, Time Magazine, LA Times and more.

I’m keenly tuned in to the greater world, and that awareness has translated into successful social media content and press release topics, such as: an open letter I wrote to Rolling Stone in response to an article Marissa Ross wrote that overlooked work of Minnesotans in favor of larger metros, in which I looped in regional influencers (my Mayor). Or when I designed a Roll Top backpack for Duluth Pack due to the industry trends, and it went viral on Reddit. Or when the Feminist Action Collective participated in Tatyana Fazlalizadeh’s international “Stop Telling Women to Smile” wheatpaste public posters. Or countless other moments involving the greater feminist landscape brought to a regional arena.

COMMUNITY ACTIVISM

It’s the classic story: “boy meets girl..” haha just kidding, a different classic story: “it all started with the 2016 US presidential election.”

I was activated by the disturbing reality Hilary Clinton faced: stark gender-based discrimination. I realized the problem with the perception of gender affected even the most privileged. I had to do something. I harnessed the energy of my communities pain and turned it into positive energy: organizing thousands of women in northern Minnesota. Together we formed a nonprofit (Feminist Action Collective (FAC)), and have been organizing for gender equity ever since.

Through FAC, I began helping womxn run for office (and win), creating a community campaign called 50x25 to achieve gender parity in leadership positions by 2025, started numerous event series for feminist education, started a feminist podcast, and formed FEMN FEST, an annual music, art, and education festival featuring only womxn and non-binary folx.

STRATEGY

Set strategies for dozens of businesses to achieve wider company goals, and monitor success through pre-set KPIs, from 2009 to Present.

Strategically fusing social media, search marketing, email, guerrilla, traditional marketing, sales work, events, web design, press, analytics and evaluation; from the ideation of goals to solve company problems, to the execution of each tactic.

Most recently, I’ve grown sales up to 80% year-over-year in top markets, for Vikre Distillery, through a fusion of growth in Brand Ambassadors (600%), traditional sales work improvements, events, email, search, and social media.

EVENTS

My first career started with events. The desire to work in the live art scene drew me to an ex-tour director at a transitory phase in their career. Together we grew a brand of festivals around the United States: Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Key West, Duluth. Noticing opportunities to attract broader audiences to our already high-performing “tall ship” events, we coordinated to bring The World’s Largest Rubber Duck to LA. From then on I became the tour coordinator, and marketing director for the Duck. I directed marketing and the coordination of the events.

After the ubiquitous election, I took my talents to combat gender equity. Specifically, the world was speaking about the dramatic underrepresentation of womxn in music festivals. So I created a womxn-only music festival in Minnesota. In its first year, 2017, a national feminist magazine, Tom Tom, called us “one of the most inclusive and welcoming festivals in the country.” In it’s second year, this September, it grew over 300% in every way: attendance, participation, profits, press.

CREATIVE

My creative mind enjoys curating obscure music playlists, directing comically compelling photo/video series, and writing. I haven’t yet begun producing much public content, but I am quite proud of my Instagram (@femn_abmli) and Snapchat (abbymlinar) profiles.
